Helping Young Eyes See Clearly and Grow Confidently
Children experience the world through their eyes—from learning in the classroom to exploring the outdoors and connecting with family and friends. Because young children may not always recognize or communicate when something is wrong with their vision, regular eye care can play an important role in supporting their visual development.
Our approach to pediatric eyecare focuses on providing a comfortable experience for children while giving parents the information they need to make informed decisions about their child’s eye health.
Early eye exams with an optometrist can make a big difference. We proudly offer InfantSEE and recommend a first eye exam before age 2, followed by another before your child starts school.
From routine exams to ongoing eye-health management, our team provides thorough, personalized care for children, adults, and families.
We take time to understand your child's vision, habits, and any concerns you may have noticed.
We perform age-appropriate testing to assess vision and eye health.
We clearly explain our findings and answer your questions so you understand your child's eye care needs.
If additional care, eyewear, or follow-up is needed, we'll help you understand the recommended next steps.
Did you know:
Did you know that it is recommended that a child has three comprehensive eye exams by the age of six, with the first one being between 6 and 12 months?
Cooing, sitting up, and crawling are signs that your baby is growing. Your baby’s vision has stages of development too, but the signs marking progress are not so obvious.
For many months to come, those little eyes will be the windows she uses to learn almost everything about her new world. It’s up to you to help her develop properly, and ensure that she sees her new world clearly and accurately.
Many eye conditions have no symptoms that can be identified by a parent or in a well-baby check-up. Early detection is the best way to ensure your child has healthy eyes and appropriate development of vision- now and in the future.
Come in and see our optometrist, a pediatric eye doctor and family eye doctor, to make sure your child is hitting his or her visual milestones.
InfantSEE, developed by the American Optometric Association and Johnson & Johnson Vision, is a public health program designed to ensure that eye and vision care becomes an integral part of infant wellness care to improve a child’s quality of life. We feel so strongly about the importance of healthy vision that we participate in this program and will provide a no-cost comprehensive infant eye and vision assessment within the first year of life.
